In order to produce meaningful blips, parps and whooshes BardNotes starts with a Composition Plan.
Having decided upon the objectives for the exercise BardNotes sketches out a general approach – structure, durations, voices, sections, etc. Following this BardNotes is (usually) in a position to sketch out a general stucture / form.
The generation and manipulation of cells usually involves ABC Notation and Visual Basic procedures / spreadsheets followed by a steady drift from a simple text representation of musical events to the manipulation of those events to a transfer into MIDI and then refinement in the DAW of your dreams.
The cells then populate an outline structure / form and are fiddled with until they appeal or become boring and are binned.
The most meaningful blips, parps and whooshes are then polished and distributed to those who fiegn the least interest.
Note: Be prepared for much iteration since at least 90% of cells / sections / voices / structure / etc. will be rubbish.
